SOAP BOX DERBY ESSAY
CONTEST
The D.A.R.E. Soap Box Derby will be held Saturday, September 19, 2009
Write an essay "DARE-ing Others to be Drug and Alcohol Free". The winning
group or individual will win $150 from the Jackson County Drug Free Council,
Inc. to be used for your entry fee and the building of your car!
MUST BE ENTERING THE 8TH GRADE THIS FALL, OR UNDER
Car must fit on a 4 X 8 sheet of plywood* Must weigh less than 176 lbs.
(without driver)* Must have functioning brake system* Driving classes range
from kindergarten through adult.

time of year again for the Soap Box Derby.

Our plans include this
section of the site to be dedicated to our youth. The Youth Page will be designed
and written by young people for young people, and provide them a place to
learn more about resisting tobacco, alcohol, and drug abuse to promote a
healthy and productive lifestyle. Young people interested in the design and
development of the Youth Page are urged to contact the Drug-Free Council for
additional information. Some knowledge of HTML editing would be useful, but
not required to participate in this project.
